FAMILIES will be able to enjoy a spectacular display of aircraft at Halfpenny Green Airport this Bank Holiday weekend.

The Radials, Trainers and Transport 2017 show will be held at the Bobbington venue on April 29 and 30 from 10am to 6pm.

This is the first show of its kind to be held at Halfpenny Green for around two years since the last ‘Wings and Wheels’ event, which was a firm favourite at the venue.

It is also a poignant occasion for aircraft enthusiasts in the area as the show will be the first since former Wings and Wheels organiser Vaughan Meers died last year.

The event will feature vintage aircraft, classic cars and even an appearance from Dr Who and the Daleks.

Attractions confirmed for the event include a pair of Beech 18s, a G-GWFT model built by school children, an appearance from World Champion Balloon pilot David Bareford and Stourbridge Pre War Car Club.

Entry to the show cost £5 per person on the day and children under eight can attend for free.
