A MAN has been injured following a crash between a lorry and a car this morning (Thursday, April 20).

Emergency services were called to the scene in Birmingham Road, Kings Coughton, near Alcester, just after 5.30am.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) treated one patient with minor injuries who had sustained lower back pain.

A WMAS spokesman said: "There was one patient, a man, who was driving the lorry. He had minor injuries and was complaining of lower back pain. He was happy to take himself to hospital."

Eyewitnesses reported that a lorry had overturned. One ambulance attended the scene.

Following the incident, traffic in the area has remained congested.
