A STUDLEY man has escaped jailed after assaulting a police officer.
Harry George Roddis-Grizell, aged 19, of Birmingham Road, Mapplebrough Green, Studley, appeared at Leamington Spa Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 29.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer, failing to provide specimen- person in charge of vehicle, two counts of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance, driving without a licence, aggravated vehicle taking and property damage under £5,000, taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and causing wasteful employment of police.
The charges follow a collision on the A448 in Redditch just before 6am on Sunday, March 26.
He was handed a community order, forced to take part in a 20 day rehabilitation programme and 210 hours unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £200 compesation and suspended from driving for 36 months.
