A CARE home in Redditch will be celebrating all things Welsh, when the team and residents invite people to their Time for a Cuppa tea party in aid of Dementia UK.

On March 1 between 10.30am and noon, the team and residents at Brambles Residential Care Home in Birchfield Road will welcome people along to their fundraising event.

Visitors are invited to pop along and enjoy a hot drink and a variety of sweet treats in return for a donation to Dementia UK.

There will be an abundance of daffodils and toe-tapping music spanning the 1950s and 1960s with live musician Phoebe Marie.

The Sanctuary Care home’s activities leader Fiona Morsy said: “At Brambles, Dementia UK is a charity we all hold close to our hearts, so please come along and support us in our fundraising efforts.”

Ivy Flaherty, 102-year-old resident added: “The cakes will be great and the smell of daffodils will be beautiful – it will be a lovely day.”

Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual fundraising event; a national day which aims to bring people together over a cuppa to raise money for the charity, which funds Admiral Nurses, specialist dementia nurses who provide care, advice and support to families living with dementia.
