COUNCIL bosses are set to rip out landscaping to create much-needed parking spaces at the multi-million Wyre Forest Leisure Centre.

Last week, the Shuttle reported how members of the facility, in Silverwoods Way, had been left scrambling for one of the coveted 171 spaces and forced to abandon their cars on pavements and grass verges.

A DOCTOR is due to appear in court accused of sexually assaulting five women at a surgery in the Dudley area.

Dr Amirul Haque, of Ladypool Road, Balsall Heath, has been charged and bailed to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court on Wednesday March 1.

THE troubled Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust has been given less than six weeks to improve significantly or face action in a stark warning by health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The warning notice has been issued after a series of inspections in November and December which raised serious concerns, across all three hospitals run by the trust – Worcestershire Royal, in Worcester, Redditch Alexandra and Kidderminster Hospital.

CONSTRUCTION has begun on the new 188 home Regis Park development in Rowley Regis.

The new estate, on the site of the former Edwin Richards Quarry, is a project between home builder Countryside and Sigma Capital Group and will create much needed affordable housing in Sandwell.
