A QUICK-thinking resident who called police when they spotted suspicious activity in Studley has been praised by the police.
The caller reported males from a VW Passat acting suspiciously by a house in the Crooks Lane/Toms Town Lane area of the village at 3am on Friday, January 13.
As a result, officers from the safer neighbourhood team detained the three men and following further enquiries, they were arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
A Warwickshire Police spokesman said: "This was a good call by an observant member of the public, who was able to give good prompt information over the phone resulting in the three arrests, preventing a crime from occurring."
On the previous day, Thursday, January 12 at 6.45pm, a resident also reported people in a White VW Passat acting suspiciously on Crooks Lane.
Anyone with further information is urged to call 101, quoting incident number 0025 of Friday, January 13 and 0320 of Thursday, January 12.
