ROLLING Stones frontman, Sir Mick Jagger, has become a father again aged 73, his publicist Bernard Doherty said.

The singer and Melanie Hamrick welcomed a son in New York on December 8.

A statement said: “Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York and they are both delighted.

“Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.”

The new addition is Sir Mick’s eighth child, and his first with ballerina Melanie.

FIRED Apprentice contestant Trishna Thakrar has said she regrets the “mistake” of altering the colour of her team’s gin after it cost them the task.

The six remaining candidates were full of Dutch courage during Thursday night’s episode as they were tasked with creating their own brand of the popular spirit.

The recruitment manager was sent packing by Lord Sugar after Team Titan’s gin was rejected by members of the alcohol industry who deemed its colour off-putting.

HOLLYWOOD actor Kirk Douglas is celebrating his 100th birthday today.

The screen veteran has racked up a career spanning seven decades that included three Oscar nominations, as well as an honorary Academy Award in 1996 for being “a creative and moral force in the motion picture community”.

Best known for his roles in Spartacus (1960) and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (1954), Kirk earned his Oscar nominations for best actor in Champion (1949), The Bad And The Beautiful (1952), and Lust For Life (1956), but lost out on the trophy each time.
