GAME Of Thrones star John Bradley has paid tribute to his on-screen mentor Peter Vaughan following his death, aged 93.

John, who plays the timid and thoughtful Samwell Tarly in the hit HBO series, said Peter could “terrify and enchant in equal measure”.

Peter appeared in four series of Game Of Thrones as Maester Aemon, the blind, scholarly mentor and guide to Tarly and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) after the young men join the Night’s Watch.

John said he was “very sad to hear of the passing of Peter Vaughan”, adding he had learnt a lot from his former co-star.

“His enthusiasm, passion and kindness were matched only by the power and precision of his performances."

The Gogglebox star and new queen of the jungle scored 25% of the votes in the first elimination, which saw Danny Baker sent home after he received just 5%.

In the second eviction, which saw model Lisa Snowdon sent home, Scarlett topped the vote again with 21%.

She proved to be the most popular contestant through the whole series and by the time she was left in the final three with comedian Joel Dommett and soap star Adam Thomas, she was scoring 40% of the vote.

ADELE and Beyonce will compete for the three top awards at the 2017 Grammys, where David Bowie has earned a string of nominations for his last album Blackstar.

Bowie, who died of cancer in January aged 69, is up for four gongs at music’s biggest awards show, including best rock performance, rock song and alternative music album.

Adele received five nominations, with 25 up for album of the year and her smash-hit single Hello nominated for both record and song of the year.

She will compete for the three main awards with Beyonce, who earned the most nominations with nine, following her celebrated visual album Lemonade.
