POLICE have has released a CCTV image as they continue to investigate an assault on Ipsley Street, Redditch.

A man in his 40s was assaulted after a verbal altercation in the Warwick Arms public house at around 3am on Sunday, October 2.

The victim was bitten on the ear and attended hospital to receive treatment for his injuries and the offender was ejected from the premises by door staff.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as it is believed he may have important information about the assault that could help with their investigation.

Detective Constable Amanda Mason of West Mercia Police said: "We have been following a number of leads during this investigation and while I appreciate the CCTV may not be of the highest quality, it is hoped that someone may recognise themselves or somebody they know in this image.

"The assault has left the victim with permanent injuries to his ear and we believe the person pictured above could help us with our enquiries."

Anyone with any information is being urged to call police on 101 and quote incident number 145s of 2 October.
