FOR those of you with children and looking for something to entertain them during the half-term holiday, you may well choose to take them to see this, the latest Dreamworks animated film, out now at cinemas across the UK.

Featuring Anna Kendrick as Poppy, she is the heir apparent to the kingdom of the trolls, little singing, dancing and hugging creatures who live a life of perpetual happiness, until the unhappy Bergens discover that by eating trolls, they can feel happiness too. The trolls flee but are uncovered many years later. Poppy and her callow friend Branch (Justin Timberlake) must take a stand once more.

As one would expect from Dreamworks, the colour scheme in this film is eye-boggling, a Dayglo fantasy in Fuzzy Felt. There are enough smart one-liners and visual gags to keep the adults happy and the song and dance routines should make most people's feet tap along merrily.

But whether the kids stay rooted to their seats for the duration will depend on how much 'disco glitter' they can tolerate. For more, see the full review: bit.ly/TrollsFilm.
