A FEMALE clubber was punched and had her handbag stolen from her in Fuse nightclub in Redditch on Saturday.
Between 1-1.30am, the 25-year-old woman went into the female toilets at the nightclub in Church Road and as she came out of the cubicle was approached by a female who hit her in the face.
The woman fell backwards into the cubicle and, as she did so, dropped her handbag. The female then picked up the woman's bag and left the toilet with it.
The black handbag with beads on one side of it contained a black Samsung E900 mobile phone as well as bank cards and cash.
The offender is described as a white woman, about 25 years old with an average build and shoulder length blonde hair. She may have been wearing trousers.
Pc Matthew Brittain, of Redditch police, said: "Our inquiries are ongoing and we're appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
"The incident took place in the female toilets on the bottom floor of the club and we know that there were other females in the toilets at the time. We would appeal to anyone who was there and saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as they can."
Anyone with information can call Redditch police on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
