A MOTORCYCLE ride will be held in memory of avid biker Steve Crookson, who died in 2009 from cancer.

Redditch-based motorcycle tuition company RMT Motorcycle Training is taking part in a charity fundraiser on Sunday, September 4 and is inviting members of the public to come along for the ride.

Riders will be meeting at the Rubicon Centre from 9am before setting off at 10am riding 100 miles around the Cotswolds before returning to The Washford Mill pub for refreshments.

A spokesman said: "We request a donation of £10 per bike and will be holding a raffle for the month of September for some great prizes from motorbike tours abroad, learner and advanced training and MOTs for the lucky winners."

The company will also be celebrating its 20th year in business with a bbq and live music event at The Rubicon Centre on September 18 from noon to 5pm.

Money raised from the event will go toward Worcestershire's Rory the Robot campaign.

The state of the art robotic system is potentially the most effective and least invasive surgical approach to prostate cancer treatment available today.
