THOUSANDS of people turned out for this year's Morton Stanley Festival, the biggest event in Redditch’s social calendar.
Acoustic act The Rock Bottoms, originally from Astwood Bank, headlined on Saturday, alongside instrumental group Spiro, while on Sunday The After Hours and alternative band Nizlopi, famous for their number one hit The JCB Song, entertained the crowd.
While music was the main focus there was also a range of activities to get involved in such as craft stalls, children’s activities , a climbing wall and a mini food festival.
Redditch Council leader Bill Hartnett said: “The sun eventually shone on the rest of the weekend and on the thousands of people who came to enjoy the bands, food stalls and entertainment at Morton Stanley.
“Once again it was a great showcase for our local bands and talented musicians and this year we saw the DJ tent for the first time which proved popular."
