THE Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has announced he will be visiting Redditch as part of a three day tour of the Diocese of Worcester in the autumn.

The Most Reverend will attend St Stephens Church on Sunday, October 8 from 1.30pm, where he will be retelling the story of Jesus walking on water.

During the afternoon, children will be able to make crafts, eat cake and have a go on the bouncy castle.

The Bishop of Worcester, the Right Reverend Dr John Inge said: "It’s a real privilege to be able to host Archbishop Justin in the Diocese for three days in October and introduce him to some of those who work hard ministering in our churches and schools across Worcestershire and Dudley.

"The Archbishop has a real gift for being an inspirational speaker and I’m sure that people of all faiths and none will want to come and listen to what he has to say."

The tour will be themed around the Archbishop’s three priorities for the Church of England which are prayer, evangelism and reconciliation.

Sam Setchell, from the Diocese of Worcester, said: "We hope that it will be an inspirational visit."
