VANDALS have yet again plastered Alcester's new £80,000 skate park with obscene graffiti.
The long-awaited state-of-the-art facility in Jubilee Fields was targeted overnight on the evening before its opening, today (Tuesday, June 6).
Alcester Town Council tried to remove the defacement this morning but were unsuccessful as the paint had seeped into the concrete.
The town council is now planning to work with Alcester Youth Club to transform the park with more suitable graffiti art.
Work to tarmac the path around the facility is still taking place and this is expected to be complete by next weekend.
Following the incident police have increased patrols in the area and are asking members of the community to be vigilant and report any incidents of vandalism on 101.
