ADVENTUROUS brothers-in-law from Inkberrow are planning to drive 10,000 miles to Mongolia in an old banger for charity.

Richard Hill and Steve Neal will travel across Europe in the Mongol Rally, a charity event which states participants must take part in the cheapest car they can find.

All money raised will go towards Cancer Research UK.

Mr Hill, director of Brooklyn Motors, said: "We were just having a look on the internet and found it.

"We've been thinking about doing something like this for a couple of years, we've done rallies before but nothing on this scale.

"We're confident though that we'll reach the end one way or another."

Starting in London on July 21, the men will travel through France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and finally reach Mongolia.

He added: "We're really looking forward to it, there may be some slight apprehensions but it should be good fun.

"When we finish, the car, which we got from ebay, along with all the contents will be auctioned with the money going toward Mongolian charities."

In order to take part in the event the men have to raise £1,000.
