SIR Lenny Henry is joining the cast of Broadchurch, it has been announced.

The Dudley comedian and actor will appear in the third and final series of the award-winning ITV crime drama, which started shooting yesterday (May 23).

Details of the 57-year-old’s role have not been revealed, but David Tennant and Olivia Colman will reprise their roles as DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller, with Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan returning to play Beth and Mark Latimer.

SIR Paul McCartney has revealed he started drinking heavily and came close to quitting music after the Beatles broke up.

The music superstar said he ended up forming Wings when he stopped enjoying the party lifestyle.

He also acknowledged that some of the criticism levelled at Wings was fair but he doesn’t regret collaborating with his wife Linda, who died in 1998.

FOLLOWING the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, an extended five-minute feature has been shared by 20th Century Fox.

It continues the theme started 20 years ago in the original film, when aliens invade the Earth and apocalyptic mayhem ensues.

Will Smith’s character led the charge in the original 1996 film, and his wife and son are involved in Resurgence, as seen in the trailer.

The photos are being sold at the Movie Stars and Musicians 10 auction. Lots will be live until May 26.
