FOR one night only the village of Feckenham has an operahouse.

A show, described as Il Divo meets Morecambe and Wise, is coming to Feckenham Village Hall.

Blending opera, swing, show songs and good clean Carry On fun, The Opera Dudes are outrageously brilliant, a little bit silly and a whole lot entertaining.

No ordinary operatic duo, the powerful tenors Tim Lole and Neil Allen rip up the rule book with a bravura act encompassing classical Verdi, Elvis Presley, Lloyd Webber, Chopin… and Frank Spencer.

One moment they’re moving members of the audience to tears by the emotion of an intense operatic aria – the next they’re making them cry with laughter at their slapstick humour and comedy impressions.

The Opera Dudes trill into Feckenham Village Hall on Sunday, May 15 at 7.30pm

The show has been brought to Redditch’s rural outpost by Shindig - the county’s performing arts scheme – and is being sponsored by Arts Council England, Worcestershire County Council and Redditch Borough Council.

Tickets (£10) are on sale at the Village Shop and The Rose & Crown in Feckenham or online at ticketsource.co.uk/feckenham.
