GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there is slow traffic on the A449 Worcester Road in Hartlebury at Black Bridge in the roadworks area.

This is due to temporary lights being installed to replace the main set which have been vandalised.

There are some areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, these include:

Temporary traffic lights causing delays on School Lane in Lickey End between A38 Birmingham Road and Alcester Road, which will be there until May 9, while temporary lights are also in operation on A457 Dudley Road at Albion Street in Oldbury.

One lane is closed on A4036 Merry Hill between Mount Pleasant and The Boulevard due to roadworks. Expect queues as the closure has been causing long delays at times throughout the day.

Meanwhile, there are also roadworks on Quarry Bank High Street between Victoria Road and Merry Hill to improve traffic lights and bus shelters in a bid to ease congestion around the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.

Elsewhere, the Birmingham Road in Bromsgrove between A38 and Upland Road will have delays due to temporary traffic lights, and in Kidderminster there are temporary lights on A449 Chester Road South between Spennells Valley Road and Farfield, by Barnetts Lane, until May 5.
