No dairy at demo

A DAIRY-free cookery demonstration is being held by the Redditch Vegetarian and Vegan Society tonight.

Amongst the food prepared will be lemon and ginger cheesecake, treacle pudding and chocolate fudge cake.

Yvonne Cooper, from the society, said: "Once they've been made, all the mouth-watering culinary creations will be available to sample and the recipes free to take home.

"There will also be general hints and tips on vegan cake making.

"This event will not only suit veggies and vegans, but also those with milk allergies or the lactose intolerant. We aim to show that dairy-free desserts are not only delicious, they're also suitable for all."

The demonstration is at St George's Community Hall, St George's Road, and starts at 7.30pm.
