A WYTHALL based company recently took part in the Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice Charity Shop Challenge, raising more than £5,000 for the hospice.

Three teams from Phoenix Group's Wythall site held auctions, raffles, cake sales and prize draws ahead of the event – collectively raising around £5,000, ahead of any company matching.

This money will go directly towards making a difference at the Hospice, which cares and supports for over 1,200 patients and their families.

Andy Moss, from the pensions provider, said the event was a great team effort.

Hamish Shilliday, from the hospice, said: “Our charity shops play a vital role in raising funds for the hospice and the support from the Phoenix staff has been incredible. They have really gone the extra mile for this challenge to make that all important difference.”
