THE season of goodwill has started early at Redditch-based family business Oakland International as it has vowed to double their work force for the busy Christmas period.Orders for the firm, which runs food distribution and transport, will peak in the week leading up to Christmas, and in addition to the normal range of of products employees will handle more than 5,000,000 million packs of party foods and desserts, and cheeses destined for retailers up and down the UK and Ireland.
Oakland International MD, Barry Davies, said: “Oakland International is firmly established as an outsourcing contract packing partner of choice, with organic growth in this specialist sector leading Oakland to double its contract packing workforce to support the seasonal demand, having invested and increased its facilities by 100 per cent for the forthcoming year.”
