In national news it has been announced former England and Worcestershire cricketer Tom Graveney has died aged 88 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

He played 79 test matches and scored 11 centuries, ex-cricketer and BBC commentator Jonathan Agnew paid tribute saying Graveny was synonymous with a golden era of England batsmen.

  • Elsewhere, past Labour leader Lord Kinnock has told the current party chief, Jeremy Corbyn, that voters will never back unilateral nuclear disarmament.

The debate over the nuclear deterrent has exposed deep divisions within Labour ranks, with Mr Corbyn's support for unilateral disarmament at odds with many members of his shadow cabinet who believe the UK should retain its deterrent.

Lord Kinnock said: " The debate is wide open. What I do know is the British people will not vote for unilateral disarmament. And that reality has to be dealt with.”

A study from the London School of Economics found people may benefit more from "high impact" walking than other activities, such as going to the gym.
