AN exhibition honouring Redditch's famous faces has just launched at Forge Mill Needle Museum.

Samuel Allcock, a fishing tackle manufacturer, Edwin Smallwood, a needle manufacturer and local benefactor, Gillian Knight, an opera singer, and of course John Bonham, Led Zeppelin drummer and rock legend all feature as well as many more.

From the arts to archaeology, from music to manufacturing, from the 18th to the 21st Century, Redditch people have been at the forefront.

The aim is to show the impact of those in the town who have stimulated the local community and those who have promoted the town both nationally and internationally.

Organised by the Redditch Local History Society, it runs until November 22.
