STRATFORD-on-Avon District Council has voted not to join West Midlands Combined Authority as a non-constituent member.
At a full council meeting held yesterday, council leader Chris Saint said the district council felt the risks of becoming a member outweighed the benefits.
"As such the district council has declined the invitation to become a non-constituent member of the West Midlands Combined Authority and will pursue alternative options, should any materialise," he added.
This decision came just days after Redditch Borough Council pledged to support the proposed combined authority.
