A Bromsgrove man convicted of trying to groom a 15-year-old girl for sex has been before a court again for trying to contact another girl on social media.

David Anderson used his grandfather's name in an attempt to cover his use of Facebook, Christopher Lester, prosecuting, told Worcester Crown Court.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old Kidderminster man appeared in court charged with grievous bodily harm.

Oliver Westwood allegedly fractured Toby Wilkes' eye socket on July 5, but when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 30, he gave no indication of his plea.

The District Judge ruled the case to be too serious for the magistrates court to deal with and sent it to Worcester Crown Court for a first hearing in September.
