A CHARITY event at a Bidford tyre specialist raised more than £80 for the Children’s Air Ambulance.

Bidford Tyres, in High Street, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the American tyre manufacturer General Tire by holding the fundraising event.

A large inflatable Children’s Air Ambulance was situated a the site alongside Range Rover Sport and raffle prizes were also up for grabs.

Bobby O'Dell, from the garage, said: “We had a fabulous day that was enjoyed by both my staff and our customers. I’m really proud to support the Children’s Air Ambulance.

“They do amazing work and it’s really satisfying to know that our contribution will help them continue to do what they do.”

Tracy Grunwell, national partnership manager for the Children’s Air Ambulance, said: “On behalf of everyone at the Children’s Air Ambulance, I’d like to thank Bidford Tyres and General Tire for their support.”

The event took place on Monday, July 27.

The charity is a national helicopter service that transports critically ill children.
