THE family of a Hereford man who died after suffering stab wounds have paid tribute to him.

Wayne Wood, brother of Christian Bagley who died on Sunday evening, says the whole family is devastated and that nothing will replace the "kind and caring man" they have lost.

Mr Wood said: "There are no words to describe how we are feeling as a family. Only time will help to heal the pain we have been suffering since Sunday but nothing will replace the bright, kind and caring man we, and the whole community, have lost.

"Christian leaves behind his loving girlfriend, his daughter Lara, two devastated brothers, a sister, his cousins, aunts and uncles, and more devastatingly his loving mother.

"The whole family are overwhelmed by the support shown by the community and we are very grateful to the officers working around the clock on the investigation.

"On behalf of my family I ask if anyone knows anything, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, to please contact the police.

"RIP Christian. We all love and miss you."

Mr Bagley collapsed in Rogers Avenue, Hereford, at around 10.50pm. He was later taken to Hereford hospital where he died.

A 29 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion on murder, and remains in police custody.
