AS the country prepares to go the polls later this week voters will also decide the political balance of town hall power across the land.

People have days left to decide who they want representing them on Redditch Borough Council.

The local elections 2015 are being held on Thursday, May 7.

Standing in Abbey ward will be Michael Chalk (The Conservative Party), Sharon Howard (Green Party), Alan Mason (The Labour Party Candidate), Scott Preston (UKIP), and Diane Thomas (Liberal Democrat).

The candidates for the Astwood Bank & Feckenham ward are Brandon Clayton (The Conservative Party), Gilly Cooper (The Labour Party Candidate), Mary Kerry (Green Party), and Rachel Powers (UKIP).

Vying to represent Batchley & Brockhill ward will be Anita Clayton (The Conservative Party), Len Harris (UKIP), Steve Pound (Green Party), and John Witherspoon (The Labour Party Candidate).

In Church Hill ward, the candidates are Peter Bridle (UKIP), David Gee (Liberal Democrat), Maureen Hudson (The Conservative Party), Kevin White (Green Party), and Pat Witherspoon (The Labour Party Candidate).

Hoping to be elected for the Crabbs Cross ward are Louise Deveney (Green Party), Monica Fry (The Labour Party Candidate), Pamela Gee (Liberal Democrat), Chris Harrison (UKIP), and Gareth Prosser (The Conservative Party Candidate).

The candidates fighting for a seat in Greenlands ward are Tony Pitt (Liberal Democrat), Les Rogers (UKIP), Mal Ullah (The Conservative Party), Jenny Wheeler (The Labour Party Candidate), and Rylma White (Green Party).

In Headless Cross & Oakenshaw the candidates are Tom Price (The Conservative Party), Rita Hindle (Liberal Democrat), Christopher Mowatt (The Labour Party Candidate), Jim Swansborough (UKIP), and

Alistair Waugh (Green Party).

The Matchborough ward candidates are Lee Bradley (Green Party), Juliet Brunner (The Conservative Party), Mike Lewington (The Labour Party Candidate), Simon Oliver (Liberal Democrat), and Julie Walford (UKIP).

In West ward those standing are David Bush (Conservative), Kira Cooper (UKIP), Matt Dormer (Conservative), Steve Sullivan (UKIP), Simon Venables (green), Lilian Vickery (The Labour Party Candidate), Fiona Whittaker (Green), and Christopher Williams (The Labour Party Candidate).

And, hoping to be selected in the Winyates ward are Emma Bradley (Green Party), Clive Cheetham (The Labour Party Candidate), Kathy Haslam (UKIP), Antonia Pulsford (The Conservative Party), and Ian Webster (Liberal Democrat).
