ACTRESS Sheridan Smith’s performance in new BBC1 drama The C-Word has been praised by viewers.

The 33-year-old star played Lisa Lynch, who died in 2013 at the same age after suffering from cancer, in the one-off drama.

Lisa started an irreverent blog after learning about her diagnosis when she was just 28 and trying to get pregnant.

Celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz has snapped Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, new recruits Daisy Ridley as Rey and John Boyega as Finn – with the droid BB-8 behind them.

JJ Abrams, the director of Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens, said that Harrison “was excited to get back in those shoes again, which was really interesting because I thought he hadn’t been a fan. I kept hearing those rumours when I was a kid,” he told the magazine.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has treated fans to not one, but two new photos from the upcoming movie.

He tweeted a brand new, never-before-seen cast photo first, showing the rather impressive line-up of the cast which includes Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith and Cara Delevingne.

As if that wasn’t enough of a treat for fans, he followed up with the first picture of Will Smith’s Deadshot character.

Grace Lee Whitney, who played Captain Kirk’s assistant in the original Star Trek series, has died. She was 85.

Her son Jonathan Dweck said she died of natural causes on Friday in Coarsegold, California, about 50 miles north of Fresno.

Whitney played Yeoman Janice Rand in the first eight episodes before being written out of the series.
