AN Alcester mum, who created a range of potty training products, has launched her first television advertisement

Judith Hough, from Shelfield near Alcester, developed Dry Like Me potty training pads alongside her business partner and Diane from Broughton Hackett, Worcester, after they struggled to move their children on from wearing nappies.

The pair went on to publish an award winning book called How to Potty Train and last year the Dry Like Me range was extended to include Early Days and Night-Time products.

Now the pair are launching an advertisement to promote to viewers how the products can help children to get fully potty trained.

The 30 second advertisement uses humour to deliver the message and features a class of toddlers being taught how to potty train by an older child.

It is being aired on a range of channels including Disney Junior, Nick JR, Boomerang, Cartoonito and Tiny Pop.

Mrs Hough said: “Dry Like Me pads are very different to other products on the market and have answered a real need.

“We are using the TV campaign to communicate the product differences and advantages to build awareness and sales amongst our target customers.

“Research shows that there is an optimum window, at around the age of two, for a child to become potty trained and that, if this opportunity is missed, it can result in longer and later potty training.

However, so many children of this age are still in nappy-style products that this window is being missed."

The duo carried out independent research showing the pads reduced accidents and after only one week and got their first supermarket listing in 2011.
