A REDDITCH man has been warned he is facing jail after he pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving in Bromsgrove.
45-year-old Biju Thomas of Farm Road, Redditch, admitted causing the death of Paul Vembillil on August 23 last year by driving dangerously in Stratford Road and The Strand.
He also pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
Thomas was the driver of a Landrover Freelander which hit a lamppost at about 3.30pm.
Mr Vembillil, also from Redditch, a passenger in the car, was killed and two other passengers were hurt.
Judge Toby Hooper, QC, warned Thomas that a jail term was "almost inevitable" when he returns to Worcester Crown Court Tuesday May 5.
A pre-sentence report was ordered and Thomas was granted bail.
He was banned from driving with immediate effect.
