FORMER Dodgy frontman Nigel Clark opens his heart and offers up his solo album, 21st Century Man.
After years out of the spotlight, Redditch-based Nigel has thrust himself back into the public eye with this debut album.
Immediately it has a Beatles feel to it, with clunky piano sections, crunchy guitars and three-part vocal harmonies.
All the songs are well written and have an upbeat feel, but stand out tracks are 21st Century Man and Sometimes, which both manage to get stuck in your head and demand squatting rights.
Although heavily influenced by the Beatles as well as the Kinks, the album has its own sound and is very reminiscent of early Britpop with modern touches.
If you were a fan of Dodgy, then you definitely wont be disappointed with this.
If you weren't a fan, however, that doesn't mean you should stay away.
