TWO pupils from Saint Bede's Catholic Middle School in Redditch are through to the grand final of a boxing competition.
George Rowand, aged nine and Ellie Pardy, 10, are taking part in the Sandee Junior Championships and will now compete with the winners of the southern heats in the final held on March 28 at Fenton Sports Complex in Stoke on Trent.
They have been training at the Thaitans Martial Arts Academy in Beoley Road West.
Recently they fought in Manchester in the Northern Sandee Junior Thai Boxing Championships and both won in their respective age and weight categories.
A school spokesperson said: “These two are so dedicated for such a young age and put in 100 per cent, and spend every spare minute training and their hard work has paid off.”
