FANS of music including traditional jazz are in for a treat when Holbourne Brass Ensemble perform a range of musical styles in St Laurence Church in Alvechurch.

The concert is being held on Saturday, March 7 at 7.30pm.

Five talented local musicians form the group, trumpet players Trevor Jones and Greg McEwan, horn player Tim Stidwill, tuba player Philip Green and trombone player Les Whitehouse.

A spokesperson for Holbourne Brass Ensemble said: “Another diverse offering by the Midland Sinfonia when they welcome the Holborne Brass Ensemble for the March concert.

“This promises to be an entertaining evening of amusing banter with a variety of musical styles ranging from early music to traditional jazz to suit all tastes.

Definitely one for the whole family to enjoy.

“The group's aim is to continue to perform high quality and entertaining brass ensembles in their own uniquely inimitable style with a humorous bent.

“Since their formation, the group have become one of the UK's most popular and highly regarded brass groups.”

This year, the group is celebrates its 30th anniversary.
