A GROUP that provides emergency and often lifesaving care is urgently appealing for help.

Redditch Community First Responders, which provides life saving treatments until an ambulance arrives on scene, recently had to take their Honda CRV off the road.

That means that the charity is currently without a 4x4 vehicle to support West Midlands Ambulance Service during bad weather.

They have started a £4,000 4x4 mission where the group are trying to raise vital cash as soon as possible so they can buy a replacement vehicle.

Commenting on the group's facebook page they said: "4x4 response cars mean that we can access more challenging locations regardless of the weather. As volunteers we are responsible for purchasing our own vehicles and kit so all donations are hugely appreciated.

"Donations can be dropped into our collection tins, cheques made payable to Redditch First Responders or you can download the Barclays Pingit App and search Redditch First Responders."

Redditch Community First Responders work on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service to provide life saving treatments to residents.
