THERE will be a comedy night and live music in Studley to raise money for Parkinson's UK.

The evening of entertainment will take place at Studley Sports and Social Club (Entaco), Eldorado Close, on Saturday, February 21 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 with all proceeds raised during the evening going to Parkinson's UK.

There will be performances from Music Like Lemons, Steamin' & a Rollin', and Jason Coleman, to name a few.

Organiser Natalie Warren said: "I am holding the band and comedy night to help raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK and raise awareness of how people can help, as well as the signs and symptoms of the condition.

"The disease can effect the whole aspect of a persons life. It can cause everything from hallucinations and anxiety to difficulty swallowing, moving and talking.

"There is no known cure yet for Parkinson's, that is why it is so important to help raise funds and awareness. The charity provides vital support and research to help families and sufferers dealing with the life changing condition.

"Both my great uncle and father-in-law are sufferers of the disease, so I have seen first-hand how distressing it can be.

"The support Parkinson's UK provide is essential into maintaining the independence of many people and it's because of this that I want to do all I can to help."

As well as the band and comedy night, Mrs Warren will bravely be taking part in a wing walk in April to hopefully raise more funds.
