A REDDITCH charity has donated £500 to Woodrow Library.

Redditch Association for the Blind, which assists registered blind or partially sighted people in the town, recently presented a cheque to the library for a number of audio books.

Chairman of the charity Bill Payne said that there are not enough books for the visually impaired and the charity does what it can to help those who need it.

In the last year alone, the association has helped many adults and children with grants for diverse needs and has donated £10,000.

Sports equipment, short holidays, as well as essential items such as a talking microwave, cctv print magnifiers, Monomouse print magnifiers, TV binocular spectacles and other items to help make lives easier and more fulfilling have been given to residents.
