A UNIQUE exhibition comprising 33 scenes from the Bible, illustrated with knitted figures, is coming to Studley.

The ‘Knitted Bible’ was created by members of St George’s United Reformed Church in Hartlepool.

There are scenes of 14 well-known stories from the Old Testament, including Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark and Jonah and the Whale, plus 19 scenes from the New Testament, following the life of Jesus from birth to resurrection.

Studley Methodist Church is hosting the exhibition, which will take up both floors of the building, from October 8 to 22 inclusive.

It will be open to the public on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until noon and 2pm until 4pm. It will also be open from 7pm until 9pm on Friday evenings.

It is available for group bookings at other times by calling 01527 854830. Several local schools and Church groups have already booked private visits.

The exhibition will be closed on Tuesday afternoons, when Studley Methodist Church hosts a distribution point for Arden Foodbank between 2pm and 3.30pm.
