PRINCESS Anne is set to attend the Forest of Arden Agricultural Society’s 66th annual Ploughing and Hedging Competition in Alcester.
The free event, which is open to the general public, will take place on Thursday, September 18 at Kingley Farm, Wixford.
Spectators will be able to witness and various types of ploughing, how it is done and what skills are involved.
Farmers are stewarding the event and will explain to visitors what their work involves.
During the event trade stands, a produce tent and lunch tent will be available.
A contest to find the best hedgelayer will be put on, at the beginning of the day competitors will be given a scruffy hedge to transform into beautiful stock proof fence.
The competition will also crown ‘Champion Ploughman of the Day.’
