Swim in to fourth


REDDITCH Swimming Club held their first gala of the year at Droitwich Leisure Centre and the hosts swam well, coming in a respectable fourth.

Taking first places were nine-year-old Christopher Jackson (1L freestyle), Harriet Jarvis, 11, (50m breaststroke) and Nicola Moss, ten, (1L butterfly and second in 50m free).

Second places went to David Green, 11, (50m back), Sumant Kapoor, 12, (50m free) and Caitlin Green, ten, (also third 50m back), Taylor Hartley, 11, (also third 50m fly), Michaela Britt and Oliver Plevey (all 50m breast). Oliver Thomson, aged nine, took second in the 1L fly and third in 1L breast.

Third places were won by Abi Humphreys, nine, in the 1L fly and back and Sophie Bridgman in the 50m fly.

Other swimmers gaining second and third places in relays were Bethany Austin, Abigail Enston, Jordan Workman, Ben Young, Braiden Hartles, Dan Bridgman, Tyler Sherwood, Hannah Monk, Julia Scott, Molly Dutton, Lucy Corden and James Scott.

Swimmers gaining much needed points and personal bests were Cassandra Robinson, Clara Parker, Eleanor Jarvis, Madeleine Jarvis, William Fidoe, Anant Kapoor and Chris Sutton-Smith.
