REDDITCH Lions is organising a family fun run or walk, around Arrow Valley Lake on September 14, starting at 9am and finishing at 1pm to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and the Rory the Robot appeal, for surgical equipment at the Alex Hospital.

A choice of either a 5K or 2.5K distance can be completed by running, walking or strolling.

A spokesman said: "Bring the kids, the dog or the baby, it doesn't matter. Just come along and get healthy, have some fun whilst doing it and raise some money for either the Prostate Cancer UK charity or for the Rory the Robot fundraising campaign."

To take part, people need to register. The adult fee is £5 and under 16s is £3.

Delays can be avoided at the starting line by pre-registering and paying your official entry fee through mydonate.bt.com/charities, email redditchlionsfunrun@gmail.com redditchlions or call Redditch Lion Phil on 07517 780929.

People who do not wish to take part in the physical side of the event but would still like to make a donation can call the above number.
