HEART of Worcestershire College - formerly NEW College prior to its merger with Worcester College of Technology - is offering adults the chance to get the exam results they have always wanted.

The college is offering free part time courses in maths and English for adults aged 18 and over.

The aim is to help those who have not got GCSEs or poor GCSE results and want to gain qualifications in these areas.

The courses are run during the daytime and evenings to give flexibility around work or family commitments. Many people have succeeded in the past and the courses are stepping stones to future careers and popular with those wanting to pursue careers in childcare, education, nursing and social care to name a few.

Maths and English tutor Bev Minett said: "We aim to cater as much as possible for student needs. We are a friendly college, courses are based at Alliance House, near the sorting office in Redditch on a small campus, with free parking. We understand that people have often had bad experiences at school and so we aim to take the fear out of learning and make it a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. It is also a chance to make new friends."

People can enrol for the courses now. For more details, call 01527 405458 and ask for Bev, Martin or Carol.
