ALCESTER Grammar School pupils were celebrating after achieving excellent A-level results.
Although the sixth form centre did see a more than four per cent drop in the number of year 13 pupils achieving A* to B grades, which was previously at 64 per cent.
The results reflect a national trend with the A* to E pass rate dropping by 0.1 per cent.
More than 50 students averaged an A grade or above in all of their subjects.
There were six Oxbridge successes with students choosing to study biochemistry, natural sciences, law and physics at the prestigious institutions.
Vice Principal Jeremy Slater congratulated pupils on the results.
He said: “We are really pleased about the results it reflects a lot of hard work from pupils and staff.”
Every student in year 13 passed and achieved grades A to E.
Nearly 50 per cent of Year 12 AS grades were grades A to B with 93 per cent of the pupils achieving an E or above in all subjects.
