A HUGE array of talent was on show during the Morton Stanley Festival at the weekend.

And after disappointment when one of the headline acts, the Layers, had to pull out, a fantastic replacement was found in the form of Dan Sealey (Ocean Colour Scene and Merrymouth) and Adam Barry (Merrymouth).

The entertainment kicked-off on Saturday with a stunning performance from the Kerala Cultural Association, and continued throughout the free, two day festival.

A spokesman for festival organisers, Redditch Council, said: "This years festival was another success with more people than we have ever seen, particularly on the Saturday. We estimate over 11,000 people visiting us over the two days.

"It was great to see so many people supporting our two amazing headline acts and our local bands.

"We have such talent in Redditch and Morton Stanley Festival is a great way to showcase it all.

"As well as music there were stalls and activities for all the family – it looked like everyone had fun."
