WEST Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in her home, in Yardley Close, in Redditch.
The incident happened on Tuesday, July 29 at approximately 3.30pm when a man entered the property and stole cash from her handbag.
The suspect is described as short with short ginger hair, of skinny build and aged between 25 and 30. He had a Redditch accent and was wearing baggy blue jeans and a brown t-shirt at the time of the incident.
He entered the victim's home and asked for money. She refused and he took the cash from her handbag. It is believed the suspect has also entered the victim's home on two previous occasions.
Detective Sergeant Natalie Martin said “We believe this is a targeted robbery against a vulnerable woman and would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward to assist with our inquiries.
"In the warm weather especially, it can be easy to forget to lock doors and windows but this is an easy way in for thieves. Please be vigilant and make sure your home is secure.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 534 of July 29.
