YOUNGSTERS are invited to attend a drama club at Alcester Jubilee Centre during the summer holidays.

The fun and educational theatre sessions will run every Monday starting July 28 until August 25 with the last class taking place on Friday, August 29.

The programme was created following a request from young people to learn about the performing arts as many unable to access expensive theatre schools.

Children aged from 8 to 11 years can attend Innov8te Performance Arts Group which has been organised by Warwickshire County Council.

The project is funded by the National Lottery's scheme Awards for All. A final project performance will be held on Monday, September 1.

Councillor Bob Hicks, chair of children and young people’s overview and scrutiny committee, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for children to take part in fun activities and it’s great that they can show what they have learnt to their family, friends and their community at the end.”

Each session will run for 2 hours from 3pm until 5pm and will costs £2 per child and £1 per additional sibling.
