Witnesses sought after two burglaries in Redditch

WEST Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses following two burglaries that took place within the Redditch area on Wednesday, July 2.

The first incident took place between 9.20am and noon at Plymouth Road. The residents had been out at the time of the burglary and it is believed that the offender or offenders forced entry via the back door. Jewellery and money were stolen.

The second incident took place approximately at 1pm at Batchley Road whilst the elderly resident was at home. Two men entered her address and one of the men threatened the victim whilst the other searched the address.

The men were described as around 25 years of age, of medium build and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 10ins tall, both were wearing white shorts and one with a white top.

A member of the public has reported seeing three men, one in a suit running from Pullman Close area towards Batchley Road. Another man described as chubby, with a bald head wearing a blue shirt and another average build also wearing a suit.

A police spokesman said: "We would like to speak with these men and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Batchley Road area at around 1pm on July 2 to contact us."
