REDDITCH Round Table has recently donated a new football strip to the Special Olympics Redditch football team.

Special Olympics Redditch is an accredited Special Olympics GB team and is run by volunteers. The organisation provides sports opportunities for people with learning difficulties throughout the year. You can read more about the Redditch division at specialolympicsredditch.org.uk.

Vice chairman Ron Daykin said: "We rely on volunteers to help us to run this organisation and also on local charities to support us financially. Redditch Round Table's sponsorship for our football team has really given the team a boost and we can’t thank them and their members enough.”

The kit features the Round Table motto 'Adopt, Adapt & Improve' as well as bold 'Redditch Round Table' sponsorship wording.

Jason Robbins from Redditch Round Table added: "This is a great local cause and we’re delighted to help. Ron and his team of volunteers provide an excellent service to provide year-round sports training and competition for people with learning difficulties in Redditch so when we were asked to help with a kit we were keen to assist."

This latest donation is typical of the support that Redditch Round Table provides to the local community - using the money raised from the community during its charity work.

The organisation is always looking for new members so get in touch with Redditch Round Table if you would like to get involved in their charity work and also their social activities. You can read more and get in touch with them at www.facebook.com/redditchroundtable.
