A CHARITY ice hockey event has been organised at Solihull Ice Rink in memory of a Redditch woman.
The Samantha Williams Memorial Game 2014 will take place on Sunday, June 29, with doors opening at 5.30pm and all proceeds going to Brain Tumour UK.
As well as the memorial game, there will a junior exhibition game and kids on-ice disco.
There will be a raffle with prizes that include a table and vodka at The Sugar Hut Night Club (made famous by The Only Way is Essex). signed hockey shirts, meals for two at top restaurants, personal chopping experiences, a spa day for two and many more.
Samantha Williams, from Church Hill, went to Moons Moat first, then Church Hill middle before she attended Abbey High School.
She spent her last working days at Halfords head office and died in December 2013 aged just 32, from a brain tumour.
Admission to the event is adults for £4, £2 for children and £11 for a family of four.
The event is being sponsored by Morrisons supermarket.
